Toss the Dice in the Game of Craps

If you are the type of the player that likes to experiment with the dice like dice setting especially during a craps game then you have some insight on how casinos frown upon this type of action. Some casinos will go as far as to stop you from setting the dice by placing some rules on how dice should be thrown on the craps table.

Craps dealers follow these rules or risk being penalized by the casinos that they work for so as a player you must not blame them because they do not have any choice in the matter. But if you are still keen on setting the dice, there is a way to do so even if the casinos are against the idea.

But before you start learning on how to set the dice during a craps game, a player must review first the rules that a lot of casinos have regarding the handling of the dice during a craps game.

These are: A player must pick the dice with just one hand; a player must only choose a pair of dice from the five dice that are offered to him, the player cannot throw the dice over his shoulder, the player cannot also toss the dice higher than sight of the dealer, the player must also bounce the dice and then bounce the dice off the opposite wall at the end of the table, the player must toss the dice and not slide or simply drop the dice on the craps table. The craps shooter also must toss the dice immediately so that he will not slow the pace of the game.

The last rule is what most dealers are wary about. A lot of players take their time and set the dice for the number that they want to appear and this method takes some time. The dealers may pressure the craps shooter to toss the dice immediately. If the craps shooter persists on slowing the game, the dealer has the power to get the dice away from the player and then give the dice to the next shooter.

This move is not done that often as players get offended by this. If a dealer that you are playing at the table does not like dice setting, there are two steps that a player can do if you want to continue to set your dice. The first step is to practice in your own home so that you can set the dice in a mere two seconds but this is easier said than done so it takes a lot of skill.

So when a player sets the dice, a player is now looking for a pair of numbers instead of one. If a player finds it difficult, there is a quicker way to set the dice. Ask the dealer to do it by saying to the dealer to give the dice to you in sixes face up. They can hardly get angry with you if they are the ones setting the dice. They will be more than happy to do it for you especially if you gave them a tip for their efforts.
